School Property Tax Exemptions for Veterans
With a 5-0 vote the veterans
school tax relief resolution PASSED unanimously in February 2014. Thank you Onteora
Central School District trustees for passing this resolution!
If you are already receiving veteran tax
exemption on town/county taxes, you do not need to do anything further
with the assessor . . . the assessor will apply your current percentage
to the new school tax exemption.
Any NEW applications or percentage changes (such as SC disability %)
need to be into the assessor immediately to take affect in the
following tax year.
This is in effective 10/3/13
